Code of Conduct

At GXL, we are committed to providing a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for all participants. This Code of Conduct outlines our expectations for behavior at our events and within our community.

1. Be Respectful and Inclusive

Treat all participants with respect, regardless of their race, ethnicity, nationality, gender, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, age, disability, physical appearance, body size, religion, or gaming experience level.

2. No Harassment or Discrimination

Harassment and discrimination in any form will not be tolerated. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Verbal comments that reinforce social structures of domination
  • Sexual images in public spaces
  • Deliberate intimidation, stalking, or following
  • Harassing photography or recording
  • Sustained disruption of talks or other events
  • Inappropriate physical contact
  • Unwelcome sexual attention
  • Advocating for, or encouraging, any of the above behavior

3. Fair Play and Sportsmanship

Engage in fair play and good sportsmanship. Cheating, exploiting game mechanics, or any form of unfair advantage is strictly prohibited. Respect your fellow gamers and staff members at all times.

4. Content and Language

Use appropriate language and content in all forms of communication, including in-game chat, voice chat, and social media associated with GXL events. Avoid excessive profanity, hate speech, or any content that may be considered offensive or inappropriate.

5. Reporting and Enforcement

If you experience or witness any violations of this Code of Conduct, please report it immediately to a GXL staff member or event organizer. GXL reserves the right to take any action deemed appropriate, including warning the offender or expulsion from the event without refund.

6. Compliance with Venue and Local Laws

Adhere to all venue rules and local laws. Respect the property and staff of our host venues. Any illegal activities will be reported to the appropriate authorities.
