After a lengthy hiatus, TheGXL returned in 2022 with "Colossal," a hybrid LAN party and gaming festival. Held in Expo Center Hall A (Oaks, PA), Colossal was TheGXL's largest planned capacity to date. It combined BYOC LAN gaming with an expo-style experience: celebrity streamer meet-and-greets, cosplay competitions, VR free-roam experiences, and an expanded vendor hall.

After a hiatus, TheGXL was "resurrected" in 2013 with a large LAN at the Philly Expo Center. This event marked TheGXL's rebirth, drawing over 400 gamers. Highlights included "midnight madness" fun contests and the return of big prizes and swag.

TheGXL partnered with TooManyGames Expo 2011 to host a LAN event as part of the gaming convention. Held at the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center (Oaks, PA), this event combined the GXL BYOC LAN with a retro/console gaming convention. LAN attendees could enjoy the expo (vendors, arcades) in addition to PC tournaments.

Branded as "Unleashed", this was TheGXL's most ambitious event, aiming for a 768-person LAN – the largest LAN party on the East Coast at the time. Held over Halloween weekend 2009, it featured a massive BYOC plus many tournaments and offbeat contests. The scale approached 700 attendees, pushing venue limits.

The fifth "Mini" LAN, and the last smaller event before GXL's huge 2009 finale. Held in spring 2009, it brought together ~150 BYOC gamers in a relaxed setting. Included fun side activities (case mod contest, raffles) preparing attendees for the upcoming Unleashed event.

The GXL expanded to a 400-player LAN in fall 2008. This event further broadened the scope with more game genres and a larger venue layout. It featured a big Rock Band stage and console section, complementing the PC tournaments. The GXL 400 pushed the envelope as one of the largest independent U.S. LANs that year.

A spring 2008 LAN that built on the prior event's success. Held as a 256-seat BYOC, it introduced newly popular games to the GXL lineup (first GXL with Team Fortress 2 and Call of Duty 4 tournaments). Smooth organization and improved network infrastructure were noted as the GXL refined its formula.

The GXL returned to large-scale events, hosting a 256-person fall LAN in Millville, NJ. This fifth major GXL event was the biggest NJ LAN since 2005. The focus shifted to enhancing attendee experience – a console gaming area was added alongside PC BYOC, and proceeds supported the local Millville Rescue Squad (GXL's non-profit partner).

Launch of TheGXL's first large LAN event in Southern NJ, aiming to unite tri-state gamers in a 256-player BYOC LAN. Spanned an entire weekend of non-stop PC gaming. Featured a variety of games (FPS, RTS, etc.) and fun contests, establishing TheGXL's goal of creating the largest East Coast LAN.
